WELCOME TO
BABA'S HOUSE
Who is Baba?
William “Bill” Lui - Baba, Sherman & Jenn’s dad, bill sook (uncle), bill goh (brother) - immigrant, problem solver, Asian Macgyver, “American Dream” achiever, selfless giver and provider….

You know it’s real love when he gives you the best pieces of the dish and saves himself the bones and scraps, work endless hours and provide a hot meal for the family after without one complaint (besides about his misbehaving kids - yea we weren’t your “perfect minorities”). He was a blue collared worker who achieved his American Dream of providing his family a home to call their own and saved every damn penny possible for family trips, treating friends & family to meals and rainy days.
What Is Baba's House?
Baba always made one thing clear - family is EVERYTHING, food is truly his love language and life can be intensely rough at times but we are RESILIENT and can rise to the occasion.
He is a father of two stubborn, atypical Asian kids. These two kids decided to join forces with friends and form like Voltron to build a legacy in honor of him and our family.

Baba’s eyes always lit up when we have friends over enjoying his meals with an endless flow of red wine and sharing nostalgic memories over the dinner table followed by several rounds of mahjong (if we’re lucky - beginners’ speed isn’t their cup of tea). We wanted just that — that feeling of home, spark creativity, connect with our community, provide warmth & joy and share nostalgic memories together.

Welcome to Baba’s House - we are children of immigrants here to build legacies.

Thank you for everyone’s love, support, and stories through this entire journey. Let’s keep dreaming and building as possibilities are endless here.
Love,
Your Atypical Asian kids
